Hospitality Wear - Hotel Indigo
Hotel Indigo York, is part of one of the world’s largest hotel organisations, Intercontinental Hotel Group. It’s a unique boutique hotel that combines authentic, modern design and intimate service with a local, authentic travel experience. Therefore it needed a uniform to match its staff’s warm Yorkshire welcome.
Hotel Indigo, situated on one of the oldest streets in York, opened its doors around June this year, with a focus on portraying the rich cultural heritage of the beautiful city of York. The hotel was themed to reflect York’s chocolate making heritage through the use of rich colour palettes and offering locally sourced produce. Hotel Indigo York enlisted the help of Uniform Express and gave them the brief to create and deliver a uniform collection to enhance the rich interiors and local heritage.
Being in the heart of a once thriving woollen industry, a richly coloured tweed fabric was chosen to sit alongside the chocolate inspired décor. The fabric was woven in a local specialist mill and the garments manufactured just an hour away, to remain in-keeping with the strong brand ethics and desire for local produce. Tweed jackets and waistcoats coupled with check shirts and tweed bow ties were incorporated and the look was finished off with indigo denim jeans, supplied by Uniform Express, to create an on trend, modern uniform look.
The end result was a great success for all concerned, with more projects now in the pipeline for the Group.
